Agamemnon – oakwood

We inherited Aga-memnon with the house. It had been unused for about 5 years and was described as "Ornamental". As the kitchen is small and narrow, there was no way such a large item would stay "ornamental" and I had always longed for an Aga. It was converted from solid fuel to oil, when it was cheaper than today. It immediately heated our whole house and our neighbours now use their understairs cupboard (which is against the chimneybreast) to dry their laundry from the heat seeping through the stone walls! We are total Aga converts. It was love at first site!
