Delighting many a racegoer – Close to Prestbury Park

This is our quiet kitchen the night before the Cheltenham Festival. All is calm at the moment, but the visitors will be arriving shortly and the Aga will have to cook many racing breakfasts in the days ahead. Our Aga is part of the family and the kitchen truly is the heart of our home. There will be many a racegoer leaning against the Aga and studying their newspapers before the short walk down to the racecourse to place their bets and to truly appreciate the spectacular views of Cleeve Hill and Prestbury from the racecourse. There will be a host of goodies cooked on the Aga to tempt them with their coffees and teas - like whisky and drambuie fruit cake and apricot and pumpkin seed flapjack. People think we are good cooks, but really it is the Aga that does all the hard work.
