THE POWER CUT – JACK

It was january 2011 i was about to embark on my first dinner party cooking on aggy the aga all was going well when 5.30 we had a power cut .First i screamed then just smiled said to husband no need to panick candles , woodburner glowing , torch strapped to my head , i carried on preparing meal .We had two curry dishes(one beef one chicken & apple a plain rice a very nut and fruit filled rice , home made mango chutney . All went very well and what a fun evening food was great .Power came back on at 10.30 so we cheered turned the lights off and kept the candle going and the wine flowing
