our New addition – Silkpurse

We bought an AGA to install on our Dutch barge. After many many months looking for one, we had it delivered on a pallet! It took my Marine Engineer husband only 3 days to sort out the zillion pieces and put them together. There were NO pieces left over, not even a screw so he did it exactly right. We have no idea how old it is as the enamel is in perfect condition. We do know it had been converted from solid fuel to oil at some time. We are about to hook it up to our systems in our barge when we have all the pieces arranged so will give further comment when it is up and running. Right now it just looks spectacular sitting on a maple hardwood floor in the centre of the galley (no cupboards around it yet!) Can't wait to get it going. It provides the atmosphere we are looking for and the Royal Navy Blue colour now dictates our accent colour in our main saloon. More later!!
