our old lady – tired mum

We inherited our rayburn with the house and is now over 50years old, and i love it...as we have no gas supply we have had small energy bills this winter as we have cooked on it, heated water and of course generated lots of heat...all using seasoned wood...fab... we do have to do some work on it this year as one of the screws/bracket on the top has worn/broke and has caused it to lift on the right side...and am scared that more damage will be caused as there is some cracking of the flue! need some idea on how to get the top screws out though...nothing doing??
