AGA Stories

. I would say that I am a convert and think that t – Katie

I had never thought about owning an Aga until we bought a house with one already installed. We were due to move on the last day of the year and I spent Christmas desperately reading my new Aga book, trying hard to come to terms with this new way of cooking! I felt quite panicky to be honest. Found out the Aga is very old (about 75 years)when I tried to buy some modern day accessories such as a cold shelf for it,and none of them would fit!Despite her age my Aga is (mostly) reliable now that I have come to know and understand her and I think of her as my 'old girl' No toaster could ever compete with toast cooked on an Aga. Would love to have a go on a newer Aga just to see the difference. My only complaint now is the price of the oil which makes me weep!
