Removal of my Aga – Diane

Update to my story Last week my Aga was removed. I have a gaping whole in my kitchen, but I could no longer keep the Aga as an ornament. I was very sad to have it removed. It is being replaced by an electric range cooker. I'd had my 4-oven 13 amp Aga, with a retro-fitted AIMS, for just over 2 years. I loved cooking with my Aga and the cosy feel in my kitchen. It was also good for drying and airing clothes. However I switched off 4 months ago as I could not justify using that much electricity. By using a 2 plate hob, mini oven and resurrecting my microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster we have almost halved the amount of electricity used in our house.
