Dream come true – Lizzie

The first house I owned had a pale blue Aga, a convert from solid to oil. I loved it and promised myself that when I moved I would buy a new one, - great extravagance. In the wilds of the country, no mains gas, tired of the smell of oil, so decided on LPG. It is an expensive fuel, - but so clean, and oh so hot! To start with I burnt everything, and was very upset, as it was so different to the old Aga. However each one is a different animal and I soon learnt to live with the differences. From cold one can boil a kettle in close on an hour. How’s that! Twenty-four years have flown by, the dogs and I live in the kitchen, - where else would you be with an Aga in the house?
