Silver Wedding – jucampine

It was our silver wedding anniversary and we had renewed our vowels had a party and were going on our honeymoon the first one as when we got married 25 years ago we had no money. I had entered a competition in the sunday mail on sunday 7th september 2003for breast cancer pink ribbon, still have the magerzine now. I forgot all about it and on the return from our holiday there was the letter lying on the mat telling me I had won!! I was so excited as I had been cooking on a two ring tiny oven on a high top in the sky my husband always said for over a year. Then came the crunch it was a three oven gas aga and we only had oil or eletric. My husband rang aga and spoke to a very nice man and explained it was our silver wedding and we had won the aga. The kind man said we will sort something out and so he did he made a one off two oven oil pink aga. Well I was delighted and could not wait for it all to happen. We were inspected to see what we would need to fit it and low and behold more obsticals were set upon us. One we had lack of mony after our wedding and ho;iday. Two we had to have a lone to get a wall knocked down and rebuild the old fore place and then we had to higher the oil tank and put pipes in under the floor!! Well we could not let this beet us so loan it was. All was installed and the kitchen had to be redone. Sadly a year later things got bad on the money fromt and we had to sell the house and move to as my husband calls it a rabbit hutch. I would not let my beloved aga go that easly so I found some one to dismantle it and store it and last year we were finally reunited me and my aga. The kitchen is in need of decorating however a loan is out of the question as my agas staying put now and I don't care how long it takes to put the kitchen right my cosy loverable aga is the heart of the house!
