never be without my warm friend – aga fan
I grew up with Aga's and I remember Mum creating several 'prehistoric cannon balls' with doughnuts forgotten in the top oven. When I married we decided to buy our own and have never been without a warm friend in the kitchen ever since. I am currently on my second Aga. When we bought our second one, it actually remained in storage at Aga's (free of charge) for a year until the house was ready to receive it! How's that for service? When we moved 16 years later we took the Aga with us as our house was being demolished. We had to install mains gas to our new property in order to run it, but it paid for itself within 18 months! We have always found the Aga very economical to run as we turn it right down to tickover in the summer months (you soon get used to adjusting the cooking times!) and it always gives lashings of hot water too! I would not ever want to be without my warm friend in the kitchen who is the 'heart' of my home.
