Lakeshore Cottage - propane retro-fit – Salty_Dog

In 2005, the same year I installed an AGA 3-oven and companion in my Washington DC home, I purchased one of the last, rare AGA Cookmasters, a model which has since been shifted to the Rayburn line. This was installed at my family's summer 110-year old historic summer cottage in the resort village of Northport, Michigan. The Cookmaster by design is intended to emit more ambient heat into the room (for ski chalets, unheated hunting lodges, summer houses etc.), which is perfect for our rustic cedar cottage, since it is cool, even often downright cols, in the evenings here even in summer. In this glorious setting, an area filled with summer-house-owners who love fine food and wine (including the famous chef Mario Batali), our AGA has contributed to our culinary enjoyment and that of our friends and neighbors.
