The Cooker of many uses – Ever worm friend

When we got married my wife refused to have the solid fuel Esse in our kitchen and we went all electric. The 'winter of discontent' came allong with the many power strikes. We had to cook for us and 2 small children on a 2 burner calor gas stove. The Aga Saga started very prompty. We wanted an Aga which was solid fuel which we could convert to oil with NO electric controles. This we did and it has been the backbone of our kitchen ever since. I have retired from farming now but when we were and it was lambing time we would often have the sunday joint of lamb in the top oven and a poorly lamb in a box in the bottom one!! We are about to downsize and one of the ground rules for the new kitchen is it must have an oil fired Aga.
