AGA Stories

Missing You! – P

In the 90's we built our own house in Lancashire and as it had always been my dream to own an aga I made it a priority on my wish list. I loved it from the day it was installed, my two eldest children were going through their muddy football days so it was a Godsend in more ways than one. Alas all good things come to an end, my father passed away and we needed a new house where we could accommodate my elderly mother. We moved over the border to Yorkshire and from the moment we moved in I felt lost, I had lost my lovely kitchen with my aga at the heart of it. I had kept in touch with the family that had bought my house and asked about the aga whenever I spoke to them. Eight months after moving, I found out that the family had decided that an aga was not suitable for their style of cooking, I didn't hesitate for a minute, they were more than happy for me to arrange to have "my" aga taken out and within three weeks it was installed in my new house!
