Who needs a microwave? – Verity

When we moved to the farm in 1995 we installed a Rayburn and for 7 years thoroughly enjoyed using it, but felt that more ovens and a larger hot plate area would be useful. So in 2002 we bought a 1948, 4 oven Aga that had been converted to oil from solid fuel. It provides all our hot water and rendered the microwave redundant. We love it. It's made me a better cook and it's become absolutely one of the family.
