I did it my way! – Huge AGA fan

So I flew the nest, not only leaving my parents but also their Aga which I'd spent 26 years standing beside to eat my breakfast. After a year, I decided I was miserable without one. Having to cook on a "normal" cooker just wasn't any fun. So got on Ebay and bought an old solid fuel one which had been converted to oil. I won it with my opening bid which amazed me. The fun came when I went to fetch it! I went off with a friend to Norfolk, dismantled it in this poor womans kitchen. Dust everywhere! And black sludge from the boiler!! Brought it home, spent two months cleaning, polishing and re-insulating it then finally re-assembled it in my kitchen. Apart from a lift with the top oven I did this part all on my own. (Yes even the top with domes attached)! Its true what they say, they are flipping heavy! Now I'm much happier. All I need now is the black cat.
