My restoration project – ironfox

I bought a used and old original AGA from 1940s which was grimy -- under a centimetere of fat and which had been converted from Solid Fuel to Oil -- I bought it with the express intention of reverting it back to soild fuel, restoring it and using it as an alternative to the expensive Oil-Fired range cooker we had from a competitor. This restoration project has been a satisfying journey of discovery -- having the cooker blasted clean and refinished, reassembling the parts and learning how well these machines are made -- its a testament to this cooker and the company that makes them that one can restore it to its full status and even purchase replacement grates directly from AGA for a product that is older than myself! The full story of its restoration is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tanais/sets/72157606644730829/
