converted – sandy

When we moved to this house I inherited an Aga, it was a pre 1940`s solid fuel one that had been converted to gas, at first I was rather nervous of her, within a week I was in love. When we re-designed the kitchen she had to go, and a bright, shiny new one was instaled, this time it was love at first sight, now I could not imagine life without her, she truly is the heart of the house. Warming the kitchen on cold days, drying, airing and ironing the washing. Raising dough when I make bread. All visitors pat her and want to take her home when they leave. Last but not least she is always ready to bake, roast, braise and after a long cold walk will have a casserole waiting for our return. May she live forever!
