My oil guzzling Aga – Topspin

We have had our oil-fired Aga since 1975 and enjoyed years of warmth and good cooking and hot water. Sadly now with the oil price at sky-high levels, we will have to find alternatives for heating and cooking. How many people can afford to run a cooker and partial heater (one radiator and one towel rail)at £40 to £50 per week? I am told that there is no modern conversion to make the Aga cheaper to run. Is it not time that Aga developed a more economical unit to keep up with today and not the yesteryear of 50 years ago? I fear high oil prices are here to stay.
