fuel crisis – AGA Lover

I have lived in my house for 4 years and now we approach another winter. I should be looking forward to firing up my Aga, but alas it is not to be. I inherited the Aga with the house and the first winter we enjoyed kitchen cosiness, on-tap cooking (including my daughter trying to cook with the lid down!), redundant breadmaker etc. It was great. I loved it! But it was also greedy. The oil bill was astronomical - it eats the stuff! Sadly the Aga is now used for storing oven pans - I simply can't justify the cost of the oil required to keep the thing going - especially as it's just for cooking. How does anyone afford to run these things?
