Aga brought back to life – Tunwell Farm

We bought our 1956 solid fuel aga out of the local paper for £200. She was in a very sorry state and in need of some serious tlc. She was originally cream but most of the enamel had worn off. She's now a gleaming Claret red and has had a full resoration with many parts renewed and chrome plating all re-done she shines like a new pin. I never thought of having an aga until we moved into our farm house and inherited an old rayburn. Now I wouldn't be without her, the best reason I can have for wishing it was Autumn and time to light her back up for the winter months to come.
