My Baby – jeanie

When my parents lived in Sark in the Channel Islands, they had a 4-oven solid fuel AGA which I loved & one of my jobs was the de-clinkering! I always promised myself that ONE day, I too would own an AGA. In 1989 we bought our cottage in Cumbria and I persuaded my husband that here was the right place for an AGA. He was somewhat less than enthusiastic about this, especially when he heard the price(!), but the first time we walked into the kitchen after the AGA was fitted, he just leant up against it and agreed that My Baby was the bestest thing! Our decision to buy an AGA has never once been regretted.
