Back to Bread – Second Bass

I learned to make bread in a wood-burning stove back in the sixties, when I was living and working in the Seychelles - look, somebody has to ! - but it was too messy and sticky a business for life back in the UK, mainly because there was nowhere to raise the dough. Since we moved here and were adopted by our Aga, I can make the dough in a bread machine and raise it on the shelf between the kitchen and the hall - see pic - and we hardly ever buy bread any more.
