Part of the Family – Mary

My Grandmother had a 2 oven cream AGA which ran on oil. As a child I loved leaning against it to warm me up and coming down in the morning to get dressed as it warmed our clothes all night. Followed by AGA toast for breakfast it was synominous with life with my grandmother. When she died I wanted to buy the AGA off the family as the hosue was being sold but they felt it was part fo the fixtures! So I bought a new one - same as my Grandmothers but went for the 3 oven electric. Now my children are re-living my childhood memories not to meniton enjoying delicious homemade pizzas, divine casseroles and fried eggs whenever my hubbie wants as it's so easy - parchment paper, oil and the hot plate. Am dreading the summer as I know I will have to switch it off!!
