Maid of all work – Aggie

Our 4 oven Aga has been here,as far as we can gather,since 1938.It still works perfectly. It was converted to oil in 1987.It works hard at all sorts of things. Cooking,drying all the clothes,"ironing" some of them,heating,wellie warming,hostess trolley(minus wheels),poorly lamb incubator,hand&bottom warmer,hat/glove warmer,dogs & cats best friend etc.In fact a friend to all the family-- in good times & bad it continues to burble serenely.It can be temperamental to re-light after a service--but wouldn't you be at about 70 years old? Are there any older ones out there still working?Would love to know.The farm wouldn't be the same without it.It has also appeared on Midlands Today--complete with cat!
