Rubbish – Mr Hulme

I have a masterchef 100 bought new in 2002. in the 1st 12 months the oven started to make a banging sound. The 1st engineer could not find the fault. A 2nd engineer came out and said it was the oven linings that were making the noise and arranged to come back and fit them at a later date. At 21 months the left hand oven knob seized and would not turn on. Aga refused to come and repair the fault even though the oven was still quite new, saying that it was probably due to overuse. I disagreed because we hardly ever used the left oven, more often we used the right. after the people we bought it off threatened to stop buying agas they changed their minds and sent out an engineer. That repair would have cost over £350.00 to do if i had paid. Almost 6 years later both ovens are now showing faults one won't light properly and the other one takes ages to light. Aga do not want to know!! I could have bought 12 cookers for the price of this one each with a 12 month warranty, but thought we would get quality by buying aga........NOT!! I have asked Aga to meet me half way on this by charging for the repair not the call-out or vice versa but not a chance. Their attitude stinks and as for quality, forget it, buy a cannon....our last cannon is still going strong in our last house and we moved 9 years ago!! Save your money!!
