AGA Stories

Good things never die – Bea

We moved into our grade 2 listed farm house in 1998, I had never cooked with an AGA before but was converted straight away. The AGA we have is the old 1960,s type, the people we bought our house from, had a brand new AGA fitted but within a week the company the AGA was purchased from took the AGA away as it was not paid for. They was exploring the outbuildings and found our AGA in he corner with a cloth drapped over it. They had it installed and converted to oil, we have since had it renovated to it,s original state but left it converted to oil. Our AGA is like the heart of the house, all our family and animals congrigate infront of it. When we switch it off during the summer it is like the sole of the house has gone. We have some lovely meals cooked by my AGA.
