A True Friend – Precious

When we decided to move, the one item on the very top of our list was an AGA. We did lots of improvements to our home and the AGA was the very best of all, and that's why she's so "PRECIOUS" we couldn't live without her. When we get up in the morning PRECIOUS wellcomes us to a lovely warm kitchen, our porridge is ready in the bottom, it's been cooking slowly all night our PRECIOUS has cooked our breakfast for us,like magic all by herself, the boiling kettle is forever ready to make us and any visitors a lovely cuppa and when we come home on a cold day our Precious is here to warm us through. Our pets, Fern the lurcher, Tom the terrier and Felix puss cat all vie for the best position in front of her, tucked up in the cozy corner in their big fluffy bed, it's been known on occasions for all 3 to be tucked up together snoring and purring away with Precious quietly doing her own thing, cooking a roast, baking cakes or my favourite a nice pan of broth and dumplings simmering away on the hot plate, what more could any one wish for. But of course there is so much more, fresh bedding warmed and ready to go straight onto the bed, what luxury, towels soft and fluffy and warm and cozy as you come out of the bath, dressing gowns and jammies warmed ready for us to snuggle up in bed. Cooking.....no one has tasted roast beef so succulent and tender, ham joints with honey the meat just falls off the bone, cakes cooked in the cake pan that are to die for and the list goes on and on, our Precious is our best friend and gives us so much pleasure. Friends who visit always plonk themselves up against her, and she wellcomes them with a warm greeting, warming bums and hands, when they leave Precious leaves that certain glow on their faces, she certainly has warmed lots of hearts and is considered as an unforgetable friend, never to be forgotten. In fact lots even add her name to christmas cards that they send us. "Merry Christmas Precious" how sweet, but thats how special she is to us and many of our friends. If we were to move I really don't know what we'd do because she is so much apart of our family I really think she would have to come with us, I can't believe that we could leave her behind, I think we will have to stay here forever.
