Snug as a bug – Smiggy

We picked up an old Rayburn by chance. It took some moving. It is now installed in my cottage passed on to me from Mum. My daughter and partner are living there with their baby. The house has never been so warm. When Mum and I were there with just a coal fire it was bloody freezing. In fact the pipes burst during a very bad spell of cold weather. We have problems though with the chimney. In windy weather a lot of sooty muck arrives throughout the ground floor in spite of fixing a proper top on the pipe outside. Any help out there would be appreciated. It is also used for cooking and the results are good.
